Sri Lanka: From Wild Heart to Ocean Soul
8 Days / 7 Nights – Group Adventure
March 8–15, 2026
Join us as we explore unfiltered Sri Lanka: from the spice-scented markets of Colombo to misty highlands, ancient caves, tribal fires, and vibrant blue surf breaks.

What will you experience?
Safari + Views
Sigiriya & Surroundings
After experiencing the bustling capital city we'll head into the heart of the island, and rise with the sun for an open-jeep safari to spot the rare Sri Lankan elephant moving through morning mist, peacocks calling across the plains, and who knows what else you might spot along the way. Another highlight are visiting the colorfully painted meditation caves, and a climb up to see the iconic Sigiriya Rock as the sun sets, where sky and jungle blur into gold.

Indigenous Culture
The Vedda Tribe
Next up we'll venture deep into the forest to meet Sri Lanka’s first people — the Vedda. We'll learn ancient hunting techniques, share stories by firelight, and join a sunrise walk through the sacred forest to learn about plants and their medicinal uses. This is a part that most people traveling to Sri Lanka never get to see, so we are happy to be hosting this special encounter that honors traditions that have survived for millennia.

Train rides & Countryside
Kandy to Ella
One of the world’s most scenic train rides awaits. Ride next to tea fields, waterfalls, and the island's stunning mountain landscapes. Arrive in Ella for dinner at the legendary train-viewpoint — the sound of distant whistles blending with the hum of the jungle. One of my personal highlights! The next day we will take on chasing waterfalls, and exploring more of the rural side of Sri Lanka.

Southern Beaches
South Coast Escape
After days of adventure, we'll let the ocean slow you down. Spot sea turtles under the stars, surf gentle waves, and chase that final sunset before the coastal drive back to Colombo. This could be you ... are you ready for it?

Why choose Destination Chaser?
Bringing the world closer, one adventure at a time! At Destination Chaser we combine unforgettable adventures for the traveler, while giving back to the communities that we are fortunate enough to be hosted by. We focus on:
- Ecotourism: through sustainable practices revolving around culture and nature, to help make it financially sustainable to preserve the two for communities.
- Supporting small local businesses: our trips are always comprised of locals putting their passion to work, and us supporting part of their dream through our visit.
- Dispersing tourism: over-tourism has become a problem in many places, and we believe if people simply traveled more to lesser visited places (what we focus on!), everyone would benefit: more opportunities where they normally lack tourism, travellers getting better experiences by going off-the-beaten path, and not adding to the crowds of overly popular places.
- Bringing the world closer: We believe that over time, if more people traveled to places and interacted with cultures that are oftentimes misunderstood or misrepresented, the world would become a more peaceful place. We want you to go on a trip others would not consider, and spread the word about the beauty of people and places - and open more minds to how similar we are as humans.
Thank you for being part of this movement!
