Please note: as in standard in the expedition cruise industry, prices are subject to increase as the departure date approaches. Booking early guarantees the lowest available rate and your spot on board!

On the dates:
The ship dates have been released! From October 13th to November 3rd, 2026. Not only have we secured some of the best rates in the market, but we're going on a small ship, with a capacity of less than 100 people. Ideal for landings and getting to bond with your new Destination Chaser family!

What you will experience:

South Georgia, and why we made it a priority:

Yes, you can reach the "end of the world" if you go to Antarctica. But imagine missing out on what people call the "Serengeti of the Ocean". This is a part of the world that is flooded with wildlife. It's raw, remote and has some of the best landscapes in the world. And since most people don't venture out here, you'll be in a small boat with front-row views of penguin colonies, elephant seals and more! You're in for zodiac cruises, hiking, land treks and glacier viewing besides all the cute animals!

Our route for this once-in-a-lifetime adventure!

Days 1 & 2: Ushuaia and at Sea

We're sailing off from Ushuaia, Argentina! This is where you'll be boarding your new home for the next few weeks and meeting the crew together with your new Destination Chaser family! We'll be going on a small boat - meaning more access to the islands, less people, and more time spent on excursions!

Our ship! With a capacity of only 88, this makes it easier for landings at each one of the sites we'll be visiting, and makes for a great setting as Destination Chasers. This means we'll all be able to go on land together!

The smaller the ship down south in Antarctica, the better!

Days 3-6: Falkland Islands/Malvinas & at sea

Our adventure's first stop is in the Falkland Islands, which is rich in history and wildlife. We'll be making a few landings along several islands here, and also get the chance to visit the capital: Stanley. You'll get a chance to see how people live in this part of the world, and even pop into the local museum, to buy some souvenirs or even for a cup of tea!

.

Days 7-12: South Georgia & at sea

The stop with the most wildlife across this entire adventure: South Georgia! Imagine isolated islands and fjords that are home to thousands of king penguins, elephant and fur seals. We'll be making multiple stops here and visiting places like Salisbury Plain, St. Andrews Bay, and Gold Harbour. South Georgia is one of the most biodiverse parts of the Southern Ocean, and in our small ship you'll get to make the most of it.

Days 13-15: Elephant & South Shetland Islands & at sea

What happened if you got stranded here before modern times and technology? We'll be learning more about one of the most incredible rescue stories in the history of mankind, and it all happened on these islands.

Days 16-21: Antarctica Peninsula & at sea

Have you been keeping track of how many different species of penguins you've encountered so far? As the last stop of our adventure, we'll be viewing volcanic formations and depending on the weather conditions, a few more zodiac cruises before we finish our journey.

Day 22: Goodbye

Disembarking in Ushuaia, Argentina. This is the day in which you'll be saying goodbye to your Destination Chaser family after spending 22 days in one of the most remote and biodiverse destinations in the world.

Antarctica & South Georgia FAQ

How is the internet situation?

Internet is available! However, this is one of the most remote places on Earth so don’t expect to be able to stream Netflix. Messages and email generally works.

Why add South Georgia and not just go to Antarctica?

The amount of wildlife in these region beats Antarctica, they don’t call South Georgia the “Serengeti of the Ocean” for nothing. That combined with history makes it even more special. Don’t forget that for this adventure we’ll also be visiting islands where locals have made their (very) remote home!

Why the high price tag?

For Antarctica, depending on the ship, you can expect to pay $7-10k+ USD for 10-12 days. This also includes 3-4 days of crossing the Drake Passage (and no activities). We’ll be going on a medium-sized ship, traveling for 22 days in total, where we’ll be covering large distances, which requires a good amount of fuel. And this is not a regular ship: this is a ship built to withstand glaciers and extreme temperatures.

If you’re not sure about the price, feel free to look up other expeditions to South Georgia & Antarctica that are around the same length of days, or even ask AI! We can guarantee what we’ve been able to secure for you some of the best prices the market has to offer.

What’s the ship’s capacity?

It only has a capacity for 88 people, which is nice and intimate for Antarctica standards. What does this mean for you? We’ll be able to go in deeper and potentially make landings where other larger ships cannot reach. This could also mean: MORE LANDINGS and LONGER EXCURSIONS! Also, we all get to stay together during our activities!

How sturdy is the ship?

The ship we’ll be traveling in was actually built originally for the scientific agency NOAA. It’s a ship built FOR expeditions, which is what we want. This is not a luxury ship but it is modern and will accommodate all of our needs.

How many landings will we do?

Animal sightings and landings are very dependent from ship to ship. The exact program and route varies on ice, weather conditions and captain's discretion. Visits to research stations also depend on final permission.

Do I need to buy equipment to go?

Everything can be rented in Ushuaia (the departure port and where you’ll be meeting your DC family before we depart). This is what we recommend doing so you don’t spend unnecessary money on items you’ll only use once in your lifetime!

.

Why fill out the form? We could make our job a whole lot easier and just accept direct bookings, but we pride ourselves on the groups of people we put together, making sure everyone's on the same fun, flexible, and travel-loving wavelength as everyone on the trips's travel family. So if that sounds like you, don't be shy - apply!

Please do keep in mind: animal sightings and landings are very dependent from ship to ship. This itinerary is to be used as a guide. The exact program and route varies on ice, weather conditions and captain's discretion. Visits to research stations depend on final permission.

Why this trip? I don't need to tell you what my travels are about - if you're here, you probably know, and you also know that it will attract exactly the kind of people that are interested in the same things: human connections, adventure, and a love for authentic travel.
