Sail with me around the Komodo Islands! - Group Adventure in Indonesia July 14-21
Why apply? We could make our job a whole lot easier and just accept direct bookings, but we pride ourselves on the groups of people we put together, making sure everyone's on the same fun, flexible, and travel-loving wavelength as everyone on the trips's travel family. So if that sounds like you, don't be shy - apply!
Do I need any sailing experience to join? No experience needed whatsoever. We will have a full crew to take care of us. Your only job will be to enjoy time to the fullest.
What's the itinerary?
To transmit the feeling of adventure and spontaneity, we keep our itinerary secret and reveal our plans before each new day, because we love to give good surprises. We believe good travel is about taking you on a ride instead of ticking off a list.
But don't worry, our trip will include all the highlights of this region of Indonesia, such as hiking Padar Island, exploring Komodo National Park and seeing the Komodo Dragons up close, all while living on a boat surrounded by surreal landscape and jumping into the sea first thing in the morning for a couple of days. Besides from that, we'll also be staying overnight in Wae Rebo village with a remote tribe, and even explore Bali for a day since it's the starting and ending point of our trip - we figured this would be the most convenient "meet up point" for most people.
Boat interior:
The boat will be private for our trip, has a lounging and dinner area, soft bedding and running water (albeit limited).
What flights should I look for?
Flying in & out of Bali Denpasar intl. Airport (DPS).
We strongly advice to plan in buffers before & after flights, as with short staffing at airlines a lot of delays and cancellations are happening. So try to arrive a day or two early, same for departure.
Starting the trip in Bali July 14th morning / afternoon (next day we catch our inter-island flight to get to Komodo, which is included in the price).
We recommend arriving in Bali the 14th in the morning, or even earlier to explore the island for some days and avoid inconveniences because of flight delays or cancellations.
Departure from Komodo, and back to Bali is July 21st in the afternoon, so we recommend booking your flight out from Bali on the 22nd July or later. Extensions to explore Bali are encouraged - it's a beautiful island and we can give you our best recommendations on all the non-touristy spots. :)
