Pacific Special #2 - Papua + Solomons
8 Days / 7 Nights – Group Adventure
Two Departure Dates!
2026: September 12-19th, 2026
2027: August 9-16th, 2027
Join us as we explore one of the most diverse countries in the world & one of the Pacific Islands: Papua New Guinea & Solomon Islands

What will you experience?
1: Festivities in the Papuan Highlands
After the Solomon Islands, you'll take a directly flight to Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea. This is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world! Over 700 languages, and a number of unique festivals happening over the year. This is by far the highlight of Papua New Guinea.
After exploring some of the markets, you'll fly to the area where the festival is being held. This region varies depending on what time of the year you're going! These are some of the last places on earth where over 100 tribes gather to celebrate living cultures that have existed for centuries.
Picture colors, gowns and costumes you didn't even know existed, and the opportunity to see these unique festivities firsthand. Tribes covered in seashells, painted, with feathers and even as skeletons! Both Goroka and Mount Hagen festivals offer the same vibrant spirit so whichever date works for you, the experience is will be equally unforgettable.

2: Cultural immersion in Papua New Guinea
There's more to this incredible country than its festivals. You'll also get a chance to see how the different tribes live, practice archery, traditional cooking, and even see how they prepare for the festivities!
This is the best way to explore it. The festivities are just a part of what makes Papua New Guinea special. Getting an insight into their living and keeping these traditions alive is an added bonus.

3: Real Life on the Solomon Islands
Most people just know the Pacific Islands for its resorts. But with Destination Chasers, you'll be going in deeper than most and getting to know the amazing communities that make up these islands from the ground. After landing in the capital, you'll take a boat to one of the smaller islands.
Imagine spending a few days doing a wide range of activities: from traditional fishing in canoes, to seeing traditional dances and even supporting local schools. All while staying in locally-owned overwater bungalows!
You'll also get some free time to do optional activities: for those of you avid swimmers and divers, you can explore the underwater world, which in my opinion, has some of the best marine wildlife I've seen around the world! And if you're feeling adventurous, even climb a shipwreck! This is by far one of the most iconic sites in the whole island.

Why choose Destination Chaser?
Bringing the world closer, one adventure at a time! At Destination Chaser we combine unforgettable adventures for the traveler, while giving back to the communities that we are fortunate enough to be hosted by. We focus on:
- Ecotourism: through sustainable practices revolving around culture and nature, to help make it financially sustainable to preserve the two for communities.
- Supporting small local businesses: our trips are always comprised of locals putting their passion to work, and us supporting part of their dream through our visit.
- Dispersing tourism: over-tourism has become a problem in many places, and we believe if people simply traveled more to lesser visited places (what we focus on!), everyone would benefit: more opportunities where they normally lack tourism, travellers getting better experiences by going off-the-beaten path, and not adding to the crowds of overly popular places.
- Bringing the world closer: We believe that over time, if more people traveled to places and interacted with cultures that are oftentimes misunderstood or misrepresented, the world would become a more peaceful place. We want you to go on a trip others would not consider, and spread the word about the beauty of people and places - and open more minds to how similar we are as humans.
Thank you for being part of this movement!
