What will you experience? 

Northern Beach Hangout (Days 1-5)

We’re starting our Madagascar adventure by exploring the beautiful beaches that the northern part of the country has to offer. Some of the highlights include exploring Nosy Be, going on a whale-watching safari and snorkeling. 

We’re also doing a sunset hike at Mont Passot for the best views, and finishing this part of the trip with an intro to Madagascar’s incredible wildlife by visiting Andasibe National Park. This is where you’ll first spot lemurs! And we promise you it will be the first of many. 

Of course, we can’t leave this area without first taking you to some local markets to see what unique souvenirs you’ll be taking back for yourself and loved ones!

Discovering Local Life & Wildlife (Days 6-8)

We’re flying out to the West of the country, where we’re changing to a full-on Madagascar adventure. Get ready for the road! 

We’ll be going deeper into Madagascar to explore the different types of sceneries in the country, specifically the Kirindy Forest. No Destination Chaser adventure, especially in Africa, is complete without meeting the local peoples. We’ll spend time with the Betania fishermen and also learn about the Vezo tribe’s unique customs. 

This is the part of the trip where we’ll finally encounter the famous Avenue of the Baobabs, not once, but you will get to see it up to 3 times on this adventure! 

— Visit the famous Baobab Avenue 

— Visit Kirindy Forest

— Spend time with the Betania Fishermen and the Vezo Tribe

 

Baobabs & Cultural Exploration (Days 9-12)

In this part of the adventure, we’ll learn about another tribe: the Sakalava’s beliefs and traditions. We’re doing another stop at the Baobabs in Love photo spot, and taking you to Baobab Avenue for the sunset views.

We’re also going into Tsingy of Bemaraha, also known as Rock Forest. This unique place has hanging bridges and dramatic limestone formations. What better place to host a picnic!

You will also visit Lemur Park, where we’ll get to see 9 different species of lemurs! We promise you you won’t get enough of these dancing animals. At the end of it all, we fly back to Antananarivo. We’ll wrap up our trip with a visit to the Botanical Gardens, a local market for more local handicrafts shopping, and then it’s time to say goodbye – leaving with your new Destination Chaser family, and unforgettable memories.
